Summary of Position:

The Project Manager will oversee technology and analytics delivery by:

  1. Leading the Technical Team: Managing and guiding team members to achieve project goals.
  2. Ensuring Project Success: Delivering high-quality results within scope, on time, and within budget.
  3. Managing Client Relationships: Setting and meeting client expectations while ensuring satisfaction.
  4. Overseeing Operations: Handling contractual, financial, and resource-related data for both the client and the ERI organization.

The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of data, analytics, and technology. They should be experienced in all phases of delivering data analytics and data science solutions, including design, build, testing, and deployment. Candidates must have proven experience managing projects within Anti-Money Laundering (AML) programs, including designing, implementing, or improving compliance processes. Familiarity with AML regulations, risk assessment, transaction monitoring, and regulatory reporting is essential.

Internal Collaboration: The Project Manager will work closely with data scientists, engineers, analysts, and software developers to assist with business analysis, requirements gathering, technology design, delivery, and quality assurance.

External Collaboration: They will engage with clients across various roles—program managers, stakeholders, end-users, data owners, analysts, IT teams, and management—to lead the tactical delivery of analytics projects effectively.


Responsibilities

  • Lead technical and analytics teams, manage contracts, and maintain strong client relationships.
  • Use project management methodologies (e.g., PMP, Agile, Scrum, SAFe, DevOps) to deliver high-quality projects on time, within scope, and on budget.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and provide expertise in business analysis, requirements gathering, project scoping, scheduling, risk management, communication, and change management.
  • Manage and mentor technical staff, including data analysts, engineers, and scientists, to ensure engagement, high-quality results, and client satisfaction.
  • Oversee contract finances, resources, and risks, while tracking key metrics such as utilization, burn rate, timelines, and risks.
  • Facilitate client engagements and build relationships in collaboration with other ERI leaders.
  • Partner with leadership to explore growth and expansion opportunities.
  • Stay informed and communicate trends and techniques in analytics, data science, and related tools and methodologies.

Job Specifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in or a technical field and/or business
  • MUST HOLD AN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE, Top Secret Preferred
  • PMP Certification (or the willingness and ability to receive a PMP certification within one year of hire)
  • Multi-year experience with leading projects within industry standard project management frameworks (i.e., PMP, Agile, Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience managing Highly Technical Project while working with a Team of Data Scientists
  • Experience managing Anti-Money Laundering (AML) Projects
  • Experience working with large-scale data environments, including those storing financial transactions and other critical data.
  • Multi-year experience in the consulting industry (technology, management, strategy) and managing client engagements with either internal or external clients

Desired Skills:

  • Contributed to team efforts in designing and deploying data and analytics solutions, including database querying, data analysis, pipeline development, and applying data science techniques such as supervised/unsupervised learning, text mining, and graph analytics.
  • Certified in Agile methodologies.
  • Extensive experience in growing and expanding federal government portfolios.
  • Skilled in entity resolution for large datasets, both at the project and enterprise levels.
  • Holds a master’s degree in data science, analytics, mathematics, statistics, engineering, computer science, or business administration.
